It is used post knee or hip replacement surgery to prevent blood clot formation complications and it is used in the management of atrial fibrillation (AF) and to manage the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with AF.
Eliquis is also used in the treatment and management of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE). Eliquis helps prevent against blood clotting, thinning the blood to prevent the likelihood of DVT and PE.
